Truro City have signed Exeter City striker Jamie Reid on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old has featured just once for the League Two club in the past two seasons after suffering a hip injury.

The Northern Ireland Under-21 player has played 13 times for the Grecians, scoring two goals in that time, and was on loan at Torquay United in March.

"He's a player I know. I've worked and trained with him and he's a natural goalscorer," Truro manager Steve Tully told BBC Sport.

"He's had a bad run of injuries in the last few years and needs some games.

"He's someone we've been looking at for over two months now and we're delighted to have him."

Truro have been actively looking to add to their strike force for much of the season.

Torquay striker Ashley Yeoman spent a month on loan at the club earlier this season, but failed to break into former Exeter full-back Tully's side.

Reid becomes the second Exeter player to move to Truro on loan this season after left-back Connor Riley-Lowe.

"As soon as we got Connor we made the enquiry about Jamie," added Tully.

"He's our kind of player, he's a worker and he wants to learn.

"He wants to develop himself and have as many games for us and do as well as he can for us."
