Bournemouth: Midfielder Harry Arter nearing Premier League bow

Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter is closing on a return to first-team action following injury problems.

The Republic of Ireland international played just under an hour, external for the Cherries Under-21 side against Colchester on Monday evening.

Arter is yet to play for Bournemouth in the Premier League after picking up groin and hip injuries playing against England in the summer.

The 25-year-old made 48 appearances for the Championship winners last campaign.

He was also named the Professional Footballers Association Fans' Championship player of the year last season.
