Shrewsbury Town winger James Caton has joined National League side Wrexham on a two-month loan.

The 21-year-old will stay with the Racecourse club until 2 January, 2016.

Caton began his career at Blackpool and had loan spells at Accrington and Chester before moving to Shrewsbury in July 2014.

Meanwhile Wrexham forward Adam Smith has joined Guiseley on a two-month loan, with an option to extend the deal.

Smith joined the Dragons from FC Halifax Town in June 2015 and has scored one goal in 12 appearances for Gary Mills' side this season.
