Gianluigi Donnarumma replaced the out-of-form Diego Lopez in late October

Teenage goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made three superb saves to earn an unconvincing AC Milan side a point at home to Atalanta.

The 16-year-old, making only his fourth appearance in place of the dropped Diego Lopez, denied Luca Cigarini, Maximiliano Moralez and Alberto Grassi.

Milan, who had won their previous three Serie A matches, created few chances.

Luiz Adriano went closest for them with a late header that was blocked, and Sinisa Mihajlovic's side stay fifth.

Donnarumma is the youngest goalkeeper to start a Serie A match at 16 years, eight months and six days. Since making his debut 6ft5in tall Donnarumma has let in just two goals and his performances have been rewarded with a call-up to the Italy under-21 squad.
