Chester: Alex Whitmore and Ryan Lloyd join on loan

Chester boss Steve Burr could give both players their debuts in Tuesday's game against Dover

National League side Chester have signed defender Alex Whitmore from Burnley and Port Vale midfielder Ryan Lloyd on one-month loan deals.

Whitmore, 20, is a graduate of the Championship club's academy but has yet to make a first-team appearance.

Lloyd, 21, has made 18 appearances for Vale since coming through their youth system but has been restricted to five substitute outings this season.

Both players have been named in the squad for Tuesday's game against Dover.
