Tiarnan Mulvenna rarely featured for Cliftonville during his brief spell at Solitude

Warrenpoint Town have signed former Cliftonville striker Tiarnan Mulvenna as the Premiership basement boys bid to avoid relegation.

The 27-year-old, described by Town boss Barry Gray as a "fantastic goalscorer", fills the void left by forward Daniel Hughes following his move to the Reds.

Gray has brought in Cliftonville pair Martin Murray and Jonathan McMurray in loan deals.

Warrenpoint are nine points adrift at the bottom of the league.

Mulvenna has also played for Dundalk, Drogheda United and Glenavon.

He joined the Reds from Glenavon in August 2014, but left five months later after failing to make an impact at Solitude.
