Oxford United Women: Midfielder Sophie Baker signs first contract

Oxford finished sixth in Women's Super League 2 last season

Midfielder Sophie Baker has signed her first professional contract with WSL 2 side Oxford United Women.

The 19-year-old has been with the club since the age of 10 and broke into the first team last season.

She made her senior debut as a substitute in a 6-1 home defeat by Notts County in August.

"Sophie has a great attitude, works very hard for the team and wants to keep improving as a player," manager Les Taylor told the club website.
