Warrenpoint eased to victory over the Mallards to chalk up a fourth straight league win and continue their impressive bid to avoid relegation.

Tiarnan Mulvenna followed up to score the opener before the break after John Boyle's shot crashed off a post.

Stephen McMurray broke clear and slotted in on the restart before Johnny McMurray fired low under keeper Alvin Rouse to seal the points.

Town remain bottom but have moved to within a point of three teams.

Ballinamallard are one of those sides and they rarely threatened as Warrenpoint eased to a Milltown victory.

What they said

Warrenpoint manager Barry Gray said: "I'm delighted with the performance and result - it's another massive step forward as we try to get to safety.

"Full credit to the players, they have stepped up to the mark and long may it continue.

"We haven't changed anything lately but we have momentum and confidence is high.

"Each time we move closer to the teams above us it only lifts the players more."
