Guernsey FC's players could not hide their disappointment at the late loss to Faversham Town

Guernsey FC have made their chances of making the play-offs more difficult after their third successive loss, according to boss Tony Vance.

The Green Lions conceded a last-minute winner to lose 2-1 to Faversham Town, who overtook Guernsey and moved into fifth place in Isthmian League South.

"We're still in the mix, but we've made it a lot harder for ourselves," Vance told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"There's a lot of teams in and around us that are looking better than us."

Dominic Heaume gave Guernsey the lead after 18 minutes, but George Monger equalised just before half-time with a free-kick before Liam King's stoppage-time winner condemned Vance's side to a fourth defeat in five matches.

"Every team has a wobble here and there, and hopefully other teams will, but we've got to get back on track as quickly as possible," said Vance.

"We haven't done very well in the last three games - they've been three differing disappointments - but we've got to get on with it, stop feeling sorry for ourselves and embrace the challenge."
