Huddersfield Town winger Sean Scannell has signed a two-year contract extension.

The 25-year-old joined the Terriers from Crystal Palace in June 2012 and has made 134 league appearances.

His previous deal was due to end at the end of the 2016-17 season.

Meanwhile, Julian Winter has been appointed as the club's new chief executive, a day after he resigned from the same position at League Two Notts County.

Winter, who made 93 league appearances for the Championship side in the 1980s, has held the same role at Watford and Sheffield United.

Huddersfield are currently 17th in the second tier.
