Kilmarnock have lost their appeal against the red card given to Jamie MacDonald in Sunday's 3-1 defeat by Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The goalkeeper, 30, was sent off after bringing down Caley Thistle midfielder Ross Draper to concede a penalty.

But Killie said Draper did not believe it should have been a red card.

MacDonald will now be suspended for Saturday's Premiership visit to Hamilton Academical, with Conor Brennan expected to deputise.
