Mansfield Town captain Lee Collins and fellow defenders and Krystian Pearce and Mal Benning have all signed new deals with the League Two side.

Collins, 27, took over the captaincy in January and started a total of 32 matches last season.

Fellow centre-half Pearce, 26, made 36 league appearances in the last campaign

Left-back Benning, 22, joined from Walsall in May 2015, scoring on his debut and adding three more goals in his 33 appearances.

Benning missed more than three months because of a cruciate knee ligament injury he suffered in October.

"I set high standards to myself before I was injured and I knew it was going to be hard to get back to those standards," said Benning.

"I felt like I went through a patch where I was hitting up and downs with the inconsistency, but towards the end of the season I felt I was back to my consistent level."

Collins said: "I am already looking forward to next season. We enjoyed a productive campaign in 2015-16."

The length of the deals have not been revealed.
