Spanish defender Jesus Garcia Tena has signed a new one-year contract with Hamilton Academical.

The 25-year-old joined the Scottish Premiership club in 2013 after leaving Livingston and made 25 appearances this season.

Garcia Tena started out with Sabadell and moved to Terrassa and Cuneo before moving to Scotland in 2012.

Forward Ross Cunningham and midfielder Ryan Tierney, both 18, signed two-year contracts with Accies last week.

The teenagers have been part of the club's development squad.

Strikers Oumar Diaby and Victor Gutsul, midfielders Kemy Agustien and Chris Mandiangu, plus defender Colin Granger have already been released.

Full-back Ziggy Gordon has announced that he is seeking a new club, but Accies have offered a new deal to forwards Alex D'Acol and Louis Longridge, defender Lucas and midfielder Danny Redmond.

Northern Ireland goalkeeper Michael McGovern is also out of contract.
