Dean Winnard: Morecambe sign Accrington Stanley defender

Dean Winnard made 17 appearances for Accrington last season

League Two side Morecambe have completed the signing of Accrington Stanley defender Dean Winnard.

The 26-year-old will join the Shrimps on a two-year deal in July when his Stanley contract ends.

Morecambe manager Jim Bentley said: "I have seen a lot of Dean over the years and I have always admired him.

"I have been looking at people who will strengthen our back four and I am sure Dean will do that. I'm sure he will be a real fans' favourite for us."
