Forest Green have signed midfielders Drissa Traore and Mohamed Chemlal on two and one-year deals respectively.
Traore, 24, has joined the National League club following his release by League One Swindon Town, where he worked with Rovers boss Mark Cooper.
The Ivorian was one of three players suspended by Swindon in April after appearing to inhale nitrous oxide in a live social media video.
Frenchman Chemlal, 21, has joined from French fifth-tier champions Le Havre B.
Both signings are subject to medicals.
Traore apologised after images appeared to show him and two other Swindon players taking the legal high, commonly known as laughing gas, via balloons. He was later fined before his release in May.
The former Notts County player, who has also represented France at youth international level, had joined Swindon on a free transfer in July 2015.
Chemlal previously spent one season with Stoke City's under-21 side in 2014-15.
