Defender Rob Jones has signed a new one-year contract to stay with League Two side Hartlepool for next season.

The 36-year-old joined Pools in March until the end of last season, making seven appearances.

Jones became manager Craig Hignett's first signing after taking charge of Hartlepool in February, following Ronnie Moore's departure.

"Rob had a really positive influence on the squad when he came in last season," Hignett told the club website., external
