Plymouth Argyle manager Derek Adams hopes to have up to four new permanent signings within the next fortnight.

The Pilgrims set off for a pre-season tour to the Netherlands on 24 July, with Adams hoping to have his squad finalised before they leave.

"We know the type of area that we need to take in and add competition in the squad," Adams told BBC Sport.

"By the time we get to Holland I'm hopeful that we have our permanent signings with us."

Adams has already brought in 10 new players to the club, who were beaten by AFC Wimbledon in the League two play-off final, and has been linked with a move for Peterborough midfielder Jack Payne.

"We've only got probably three players, four possibly, to come in, it just depends on how I work it," Adams added.

"We'll have to wait and see what is available, we know the type of area that we're looking for to strengthen, and we'll do that over the coming weeks."
