Nottingham Forest midfielder Matty Cash is expected to be out for around three months after fracturing a bone below his knee in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in the Championship.

Cash fell awkwardly 10 minutes into the game at Villa Park.

The 19-year-old tried to continue, but had to be taken off shortly after.

Forest manager Philippe Montanier told BBC Radio Nottingham: "For Matty Cash it is serious - a fracture of the tibia. It will be a lot of weeks off."
