Reading FC Women's Lauren Bruton is braced for a busy time despite the end of the Women's Super League season.

Midfielder Bruton, 23, helped guide the Royals to survival in their first WSL 1 season and is now preparing for training camps with the England squad.

"It's not a case of 'let's go on holiday for a couple of weeks'," she told BBC Radio Berkshire. "There's lots of fitness programmes to stick to.

"I'll be keeping myself ticking over before we report back in December."

England under-23 international Bruton scored two goals in 19 appearances for Kelly Chambers' side this season and won the club's players' player of the year award.

"There's a couple of us with international camps to come before the end of November," she added. "There won't be a lot of time off before December.
