Eastleigh manager Ronnie Moore has left the National League club because of "personal circumstances over the past few weeks".

The former Rotherham, Tranmere and Oldham boss replaced Chris Todd in August after agreeing a two-year deal.

Moore, 63, leaves Eastleigh, who face FC Halifax Town in the FA Cup second round on Sunday, ninth in the table after losing their last two games.

Eastleigh said they would "make further announcements in due course".

Moore, who led Rotherham to successive promotions during the first of two spells as Millers manager, was unbeaten in his first 10 games at Eastleigh.

He also led the Spitfires to victory over League One side Swindon Town in the FA Cup first round, winning a replay at the County Ground 3-1 after the first tie finished 1-1.

But they have won only once in the league since 25 October and are eight points off the play-off places.
