League One side Peterborough scored two first-half goals to beat Notts County in an FA Cup second-round replay and set up a third-round tie at Chelsea.

Gwion Edwards headed Posh in front from six yards out inside two minutes.

Paul Taylor ran from the halfway line before firing in from 25 yards out to double the hosts' advantage.

Notts striker Jon Stead had a penalty saved, while Jonathan Forte chipped against the bar, but the Magpies could not find a way past keeper Luke McGee.

Peterborough's third-round game against Premier League leaders Chelsea will take place at Stamford Bridge on 8 January.
