Eastleigh manager Martin Allen has returned to former side Barnet to sign defender Gavin Hoyte on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Arsenal, has agreed an 18-month deal with the Spitfires.

Hoyte, who joined Barnet in the summer of 2015, has made two league appearances for the Bees this season.

The Trinidad & Tobago international has previously had spells at Dagenham & Redbridge and Gillingham.

Allen left Barnet to join National League Eastleigh at the start of the month.
