Scunthorpe United: Ivan Toney and Matt Crooks join on loan

Ivan Toney has played in 19 League One games this season

League One side Scunthorpe have signed Newcastle striker Ivan Toney and Glasgow Rangers midfielder Matt Crooks on loan until the end of the season.

Toney recently returned to Newcastle after a loan spell with Shrewsbury, where he scored seven goals in 26 games in all competitions.

The 20-year-old had been linked with a return to former club Northampton.

Crooks, 22, has played three games for Scottish Premiership side Rangers since joining from Accrington in July.
