Blackpool release 10 players following their promotion to League One

Blackpool have released 10 players following Sunday's play-off final win and promotion to League One.

The Tangarines were promoted from League Two at the first time of asking after a 2-1 win over Exeter City.

Ian Black, Henry Cameron, Luke Higham, John Herron, Dean Lyness, Eddie Nolan, Jack Payne, Jack Redshaw and Macauley Wilson have left, but the club are still in talks with Sam Slocombe.

Tom Aldred and Nathan Delfouneso have both been offered new contracts.

Mark Cullen, who scored the winning goal at Wembley and finished the League Two season as the club's top scorer with 13 goals, heads the list of players who have had options activated on their contracts.

Brad Potts, who also netted at Wembley, and captain Andy Taylor have also had their extensions triggered, along with Myles Boney, Colin Daniel, Jim McAlister, Kelvin Mellor, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Clark Robertson and Kyle Vassell.

Will Aimson, Raul Correia, Seb Des Pres, Armand Gnanduillet, Jamille Matt and Danny Philliskirk remain under contract with Blackpool, while loanees Neil Danns, Jordan Flores and Sanmi Odelusi have returned to their parent clubs.
