Midfielder Richie Smallwood is set to leave Rotherham United after failing to agree a new deal.

The 26-year-old held discussions with the relegated club soon after the season ended.

He joined Rotherham from Middlesbrough in 2014, initially on loan, and helped the Millers win promotion to the Championship via the play-offs.

Smallwood made 108 appearances for the club in the second tier, and 133 for them in total.
