Nouha Dicko's (left) header settled the first competitive meeting between Wolves and Yeovil

Nouha Dicko scored the only goal as Wolves reached the second round of the EFL Cup with victory over Yeovil Town.

The Glovers were thrashed 8-2 in their League Two opener at Luton on Saturday but frustrated their Championship opponents in a game of few chances.

Dicko fired narrowly over the angle of post and bar before heading in Jordan Graham's corner to put Wolves ahead.

Sam Surridge had Yeovil's best chance but shot wide from 15 yards when the game was still goalless.

Wolves made nine changes from the side that beat Middlesbrough 1-0 on Saturday but struggled to test Yeovil keeper Artur Krysiak, with Willie Boly's off-target header the closest they came in the first half.

Meanwhile, Yeovil have released 30-year-old defender Stephane Zubar, who did not make a competitive appearance for the club after joining on non-contract terms in June.
