Exeter City have re-signed striker Jayden Stockley from Aberdeen, while midfielder Hiram Boateng has joined from Crystal Palace on a free transfer.

The Devon side have paid a club-record fee believed to be about £100,000 for Stockley, who spent part of the 2015-16 season on loan at St James Park.

Ex-Plymouth loanee Boateng, 21, played three times for Premier League Palace.

Exeter have also signed right-back Kane Wilson, 17, and striker Kyle Edwards, 19, on loan from West Bromwich Albion.

Both players will be with the Grecians until January.

While Exeter have not disclosed the fee or the length of contract, the deal for Stockley beats the £80,000 the club spent to re-sign Tony Kellow from Blackpool in 1980, and is understood to be nearer six figures.

"I wanted to go to a club where I believe in the same things as the manager and I know that there are good players," Stockley, 23, told the club's website., external

Stockley's signing is only the second time manager Paul Tisdale has paid a fee for a player since taking charge of the club in 2006.
