Port Vale have signed Burnley defender Tom Anderson on a season-long loan and Doncaster midfielder Harry Middleton on a one-year deal.
Anderson, 23, who mainly plays as a centre-back, has had two loan spells with Chesterfield since February 2016, playing a total of 58 games.
Doncaster terminated the contract of Middleton, 22, to allow him to join Vale on a free transfer.
Both players could feature against Notts County on Saturday.
The additions of Anderson and Middleton mean 21st-placed Vale have signed 19 players this summer.
