Stefan Johansen's winner was his first goal of the season
Floyd Ayite and Stefan Johansen opened their 2017-18 goalscoring accounts to help Fulham overcome Hull for their first win at home this season.
Ayite had already been denied by Tigers goalkeeper Allan McGregor before putting the hosts ahead, steering home a low ball whipped in by Sheyi Ojo.
Jarrod Bowen levelled, heading in at his second attempt after David Button saved from point-blank range.
Johansen won it with a composed finish before Yohan Mollo hit the bar late on.
Victory was Fulham's first at Craven Cottage in five attempts in all competitions this season, and moves them up to 13th in the table.
Slavisa Jokanovic's side are three places above Hull, who slipped to a second successive defeat and fourth in five games.
The hosts had the better of the first-half chances, with Ayite particularly bright, and the Whites almost went 2-0 up after the break, only for Ryan Sessegnon to head wastefully wide.
Bowen made Fulham pay moments later, showing great instincts to level after Button saved his first headed attempt.
Johansen, however, ensured victory. The Norwegian ignored the flailing presence of winger Ayite, who attempted an audacious overhead kick, and controlled the ball before sending it in off the underside of the bar.
Button made a late save from Frazier Campbell with five minutes remaining to protect the lead, while substitute Mollo went close to adding a third for Fulham in injury time.
Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic:
"We are satisfied with a first win at Craven Cottage but we must improve and we must be more clinical.
"You cannot create 100 chances before scoring. You must be clinical and show more quality.
"This is a similar story (to other games this season), we are dominating. I was worried and it was not a healthy game for us and our supporters."
Hull boss Leonid Slutsky:
"It is a very difficult time. We will have a special tactical lesson speaking about a new formation.
"I find our best formation works with our attacking principle. We must decide problems together.
"We don't have time to be frustrated. We must look forward very positively."
