Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Plymouth Argyle

Blackburn were left ruing missed chances as Plymouth hung on for a 1-1 draw at Ewood Park.

The hosts dominated but Graham Carey's spectacular strike opened the scoring in the 31st minute. Bradley Dack lashed home an equaliser in first-half injury time and it looked as though the ensuing onslaught after the break would result in a home win.

But a mixture of poor finishing and a stunning defensive display denied Blackburn as the Pilgrims held on for a point.

Ryan Nyambe should have done better with a half volley early on and that wastefulness was punished in the 31st minute as Carey arrowed an unstoppable left-footed shot into the top corner.

The lead did not last long - Dack ran onto a Graham pass to fire his second of the season through Kyle Letheren's legs, before a second half that saw Antonsson lash over from 12 yards, and substitute goalkeeper Michael Cooper superbly tip over a Derrick Williams header.

And in injury time, Ben Gladwin had the goal at his mercy 12 yards out but a mixture of Cooper and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair somehow kept the ball out.
