Bristol Rovers 2-0 Milton Keynes Dons

Bristol Rovers ended their three-game losing run as two second-half goals saw them beat Milton Keynes Dons.

The hosts had the better chances before the opener, with Rory Gaffney seeing an effort cleared off the line in either half.

Tom Nichols pounced on Ed Upson's mistake and calmly slotted in the first, before his strike partner Gaffney added a powerful second.

MK Dons created little on a blustery afternoon, and their winless run stretched to five league games.

Rovers had not scored since netting six at Northampton three weeks ago, while Nichols' goal was his first since March, ending a barren run of 25 games in all competitions.

Darrell Clarke's side's return to form came on an emotional day for the club, as they paid tribute to their "saviour", former chairman Geoff Dunford, who passed away last weekend, with a minute's applause before kick-off.
