Ebbsfleet United 2-6 Doncaster Rovers
- Published
Doncaster fought back from two goals down to beat 10-man Ebbsfleet and avoid an FA Cup upset.
Ebbsfleet had not beaten Football League opposition in the cup for 22 years, but a shock looked on the cards when Danny Kedwell converted a penalty, before goalkeeper Ian Lawlor was beaten again two minutes later by Luke Coulson.
But the home side conceded in first-half stoppage time as Tommy Rowe pulled one back, and before the break Doncaster were level when John Marquis finished off a rebound.
Experienced striker James Coppinger put the Dons in front seven minutes into the second half, with Jordan Houghton adding a fourth.
The hosts finished a man down when Chris Bush received a second yellow card for taking out Coppinger with 10 minutes left.
And the advantage paid off as Coppinger fired home an 82nd-minute penalty, with Rowe grabbing his second five minutes from time.
