Jonna Andersson: Chelsea Ladies to sign Sweden international

Jonna Andersson started three games at Euro 2017 as Sweden reached the quarter-finals

Chelsea Ladies have agreed a deal to sign Sweden international Jonna Andersson from Linkopings.

The 24-year-old defender, who can play at left-back or wing-back, will join the Blues when the transfer window reopens on Friday, 29 December.

Andersson has won three league titles and three Swedish Cups during a nine-year spell with women's Allsvenskan side Linkopings.

'Jonna is a player I am very excited about," boss Emma Hayes said.

"I have been keeping tabs on her for a while and this is the perfect time for her to take the next step in her career."
