JD Welsh Premier League

Saturday, 13 January (all games 17:15 GMT)

Cefn Druids 0-0 Llandudno FC: Cefn Druids secured a top-six spot with a point which ended Llandudno's hopes of a place in the Championship Conference.

Both sides struck the woodwork during the first half before Llandudno were reduced to 10 men early in the second half, when captain Tom Dix received his second yellow card of the game for a foul on Alec Mudimu.

Huw Griffiths' Druids needed only a point to reach the top-six while Llandudno, who started the day in seventh place but with a superior goal difference, needed to win.

Barry Town 0-1 Bala Town: Bala ended Barry Town's faint hopes of making the top six, as Mike Hayes struck in the second half for the visitors.

HOW THEY STAND - Welsh Premier League table, external

Aberystwyth 4-2 Connah's Quay Nomads: Title hopefuls Connah's Quay Nomads suffered a surprise defeat at Aberystwyth, as they were undone by Joe Phillips' hat-trick.

Michael Wilde had got the visitors briefly back on level terms after Philips' opener, but his second and an Ashley Young goal saw Aberystwyth pull away again. Andrew Owens struck a consolation for Nomads.

Carmarthen Town 0-2 Cardiff Met: Bottom club Carmarthen Town's survival hopes suffered a late blow as their resistance was cruelly ended by Clayton Green's 81st minute own goal, with Kyle McCarthy rubbing salt into their wounds with a second deep into time added on.

Newtown 3-0 Prestatyn Town: Newtown pulled further clear of the relegation battle with a three-goal burst in the final quarter of the match thanks to Jamie Reed, Alex Fletcher and Joe Kenton.

The New Saints 2-1 Bangor City: Bangor were denied a point in the battle of first versus third at Park Hall as Blaine Hudson found a late winner for Saints, who stretch their lead at the top to 12 points.

Aeron Edwards had opened the scoring for the home side, only for Bangor's Luke Wall to hit back within four minutes.
