Accrington Stanley sign Charlie Rowan & Danny Williams

Charlie Rowan has played under-23 football for Watford but is yet to make his professional debut

Watford have loaned defender Charlie Rowan to League Two side Accrington Stanley, who have also signed free agent winger Danny Williams.

Rowan, 20, was previously captain of Watford's under-18 team and will stay with Stanley until the end of the season.

Williams left Dundee, for whom he made 31 appearances, in November.

The 29-year-old, who also played 108 games for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, has signed a short-term contract.

"I've always wanted to play in the English Football League, to get a move to a club so close to home and pushing so high up the table is brilliant," the former FC United of Manchester player said., external

Rowan is available for Accrington's trip to Cheltenham Town on Saturday, but Williams' transfer is subject to international clearance.
