Colchester sign Liam Mandeville, Olamide Shodipo, Ben Stevenson and Aaron Barnes

Colchester United have signed defender Aaron Barnes on a permanent deal from Charlton and added Olamide Shodipo, Ben Stevenson and Liam Mandeville on loan.

Full-back Barnes, 21, made one league appearance for the Addicks and played a game on loan at Torquay this month.

All three loan players will stay until the end of the season with striker Mandeville, 20, joining from Doncaster.

Republic of Ireland U21 forward Shodipo and midfielder Stevenson, both 20, join from QPR and Wolves respectively.
