Angus MacDonald made 13 appearances for Barnsley this season

Hull City have signed Barnsley defender Angus MacDonald for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half year deal and Harry Wilson on loan from Liverpool.

MacDonald, 25, made 50 league appearances for the Tykes after joining from Torquay in June 2016.

Wales winger Wilson, 20, has played one senior game for Liverpool and will stay with Hull for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool wideman Lazar Markovic has joined Belgian side Anderlecht on loan until the summer.

The Serbia international, 23, has not played for the Premier League side since May 2015.

MacDonald worked with Tigers boss Nigel Adkins at Reading and could make his debut for the Championship side at Preston.
