Oxford United 2-1 Rochdale

Oxford United came from behind with two second-half penalties to beat Rochdale and secure their League One status.

The result was a big blow to fellow strugglers Dale, who slipped back into the bottom four with next weekend's home match against Charlton their last hope of beating relegation.

In the first half U's goalkeeper Simon Eastwood produced a stunning point-blank range save from Calvin Andrew's header.

Bradden Inman fired the visitors in front after 59 minutes with a low shot from 16 yards after cutting inside a defender.

Oxford equalised three minutes later from the penalty spot after Joe Rothwell drove into the box and was brought down by Callum Camps.

Skipper John Mousinho hammered the spot-kick high into the net for his first goal for the club.

With six minutes to go Camps was again guilty of a mistimed tackle, tripping substituting Rob Hall inside the area.

This time Todd Kane took the penalty and sent Josh Lillis the wrong way as he fired into the bottom-right corner to send Oxford eight points above the drop zone.
