Walsall have signed goalkeeper Chris Dunn on a one-year deal following his end-of-season release by Saddlers boss Dean Keates' former club Wrexham.

Dunn made 35 appearances for the National League side last season, but he was allowed to leave in May.

The 30-year-old has previously had spells with Northampton Town, Coventry City, Yeovil and Cambridge United.

"He should provide great competition with Liam Roberts for the number one spot next year," said Keates.

Dunn made 54 appearances for Wrexham after being signed by Keates from Cambridge in July 2016.

Keates, who left Wrexham to become Walsall manager in March, has now made three summer signings, Dunn having followed the arrival of Tranmere Rovers striker Andy Cook and released Burnley winger Josh Ginnelly.
