Eric Lichaj: Hull City sign USA defender from Nottingham Forest

Eric Lichaj featured 28 times in all competitions for Forest last season

Hull City have signed United States international Eric Lichaj from fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old defender's contract also has an additional one-year option held by the club.

Former Aston Villa player Lichaj scored six goals in 190 appearances for Forest during five years at the City Ground.

"I'm looking forward to wearing this kit and can't wait to represent the club," Lichaj said on Instagram.

The American, who has 15 international caps, becomes Hull's first signing of the summer transfer window.

Left-back Max Clark, meanwhile, is leaving Hull to join former Tigers boss Leonid Slutsky at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.

Clark, 22, has rejected a new deal at his hometown club after a breakthrough season in which he played 30 games.

Due to his age and the fact he is an academy product, Hull will receive compensation from Arnhem for Clark.
