Gil Bastiao Dias: Nottingham Forest sign Portuguese winger on loan

Gil Bastiao Dias has only played one league game for Monaco and has been on loan at Rio Ave as well as Fiorentina

Nottingham Forest have signed winger Gil Bastiao Dias on a season-long loan from French Ligue One side Monaco.

The deal gives the Championship club an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of next season.

The 21-year-old spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan with Italian Serie A side Fiorentina.

Dias is the third Portugal Under-21 international to join Forest so far this summer following midfielder Joao Carvalho and winger Diogo Goncalves.

Carvalho cost a club-record £13.2m fee, while Goncalves has also been signed on loan.
