Burton Albion have signed attacking midfielder Scott Fraser and winger David Templeton from Dundee United and Hamilton Academical respectively.

Both players have signed two-year contracts with the League One club.

Fraser, 23, came through the ranks with the Tanegerines, but turned down the offer of a new deal.

Former Rangers man Templeton, 29, scored eight goals in 27 Premiership appearances for Hamilton last season after joining on a short-term deal.

Brewers manager Nigel Clough said Fraser, who scored 20 goals in 106 games for United has "got potential to improve."

"He can play in a few different positions and is very keen to come down to England to make his mark," Clough continued.

"David's a player we have admired. We need creativity and a spark at times and he'll provide those for us.

"He's still got a good few years left in him and we are hoping that he will provide that little bit of something different for us. He can play wide or can play inside as well."
