World Cup 2018: Who did you pick in your England XI for semi-final v Croatia

We asked you to select the team to face Croatia and you have made two changes: in come Alli and Rashford

It is England's biggest game for 28 years.

On Wednesday evening they face Croatia in the World Cup semi-final - uncharted territory for Gareth Southgate and his squad, 17 of whom were not even born when Bobby Robson's side took on West Germany in Turin on 4 July, 1990.

Following the relatively stress-free 2-0 quarter-final win over Sweden and with no fresh injury worries or suspensions, the smart money would be on Southgate selecting the same XI for Wednesday's last-four tie with Croatia.

And you largely agree, but for one notable exception - the selection of Marcus Rashford in attack in place of Raheem Sterling.

The only other change from your chosen XI against Sweden sees midfielder Dele Alli, who was in Southgate's XI but not yours as he came back from injury, return for Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

There wasn't much in it between Rashford and Sterling, but the Manchester United striker just got the nod, receiving 60,988 selections to the Manchester City forward's 59,672.

Unsurprisingly, the most picked player is Tottenham's Harry Kane, whose six goals have put him in pole position to win the tournament's Golden Boot and who was selected by 111,112 people.

The second and third most popular selections are Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (109,490) and the scorer of the first goal against Sweden, Leicester defender Harry Maguire (106,232)
