Diego Rico: Bournemouth sign Spanish defender from Leganes

Bournemouth have signed Spanish full-back Diego Rico from La Liga side Leganes for £10.7m, subject to international clearance.
Borussia Dortmund were also keen on the 25-year-old, but he has chosen to join the Cherries on a four-year contract.
Rico, who began his career at Real Zaragoza, says he is eager to link up with Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.
"He is very professional and has a great philosophy on football," Rico told the Bournemouth website., external
"This is a new step for me in my career and from my heart I can say I am truly excited to be here and looking forward to the future."
Bournemouth manager Howe said Rico fits the club's "philosophy and style of play".
"Diego is a player we have been tracking throughout the summer and, although we had to be patient, it's great to finally be able to call him a Bournemouth player," said the 40-year old.
"Once he gets used to the way we play, we believe he can become a real force for this football club."
Rico will miss the first three games of the season through suspension after a red card in his final game in La Liga.
