Sam Clucas: Stoke City sign Swansea City midfielder for £6m

Sam Clucas made 29 appearances for Swansea City last season

Stoke City have signed Swansea City midfielder Sam Clucas on a four-year contract for a fee of about £6m.

The former Hull player, 27, had been close to a move to Burnley but that deal collapsed as the Clarets could not agree personal terms with Clucas.

The midfielder was signed from Hull in August 2017 in a £16m package, which involved Stephen Kingsley going the other way.

Stoke lost their opening Championship match of the season to Leeds on Sunday.
