Kilmarnock have signed Jack Byrne on a one-year contract following the midfielder's release from Oldham.

The 22-year-old Irishman is the Rugby Park's second deadline day signing after a loan deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Bright Enobakhare.

Enobakhare, 20, has made more than 40 appearances for Wolves, scoring three times.

"It's great to have signed a player of Bright's quality," manager Steve Clarke told Killie's website., external

"He made a big contribution to Wolves' promotion-winning season as they reached the English Premier League."

Byrne, a Republic of Ireland U21 international, came through the ranks at Manchester City and spent time at Blackburn Rovers and Wigan before his move to Oldham.

He made 44 appearances for the League One side last season, scoring eight goals.

Earlier this week, Kilmarnock recruited midfielder Aaron Tshibola for a second loan spell from Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, midfielder Adam Frizzell, 20, has moved to Queen of the South from Rugby Park on a six-month loan deal.
