Accrington Stanley 1-0 Doncaster Rovers

Substitute Offrande Zanzala scored a late winner as Accrington saw off high-flying Doncaster 1-0.

Zanzala raced onto a ball from Billy Kee and slotted into the far corner of the net three minutes from time to extend Stanley's unbeaten run to 10 league games.

Rovers started the stronger side and keeper Connor Ripley was in action twice for Stanley in the opening 20 minutes.

He managed to grab the loose ball from a poor back pass with Doncaster's top scorer John Marquis waiting to pounce.

Then former Accrington loanee Mallik Wilks only had the stopper to beat when put clean through but Ripley rushed out to deny him.

There were no further clear cut chances until the 44th minute when Stanley striker Kee won a free-kick on the edge of the box.

Sean McConville's 20-yard effort had Marko Marosi beaten, but slammed against the post and the ball came back out to winger McConville with his follow-up finding the top of the crossbar.

Stanley started the second half well with McConville and Dan Barlaser coming close as they piled on the pressure.

However, at the other end Ripley dived low to deny sub Alfie May before Zanzala's late heroics.
