Blackpool 1-0 Scunthorpe United

Armand Gnanduillet's first-half goal proved enough for Blackpool to beat Scunthorpe 1-0 at Bloomfield Road.

Gnanduillet's effort midway through the half earned all three points, ensuring that the Seasiders' impressive form continued.

Terry McPhillips' side went ahead in the 19th minute when Gnanduillet finished off a well-worked move, volleying Oliver Turton's low cross beyond goalkeeper Jak Alnwick into the bottom right corner.

Scunthorpe had their chances to level, with Charlie Goode seeing his header cleared off the line by Tangerines captain Jay Spearing before Stephen Humphreys drove a low effort which goalkeeper Mark Howard pushed away.

After the break, Callum Guy fired straight at Alnwick from close-range, while Humphreys' fierce effort fizzed just past the post for Stuart McCall's Lincolnshire outfit.

Ryan Colclough's strike from distance was comfortable for Howard as the Iron pushed for an equaliser.

However, Blackpool held on to move up to 10th in the third-tier, but it is now for straight defeats for lowly Scunthorpe.
