FA Cup: Weston-super-Mare 0-2 Wrexham
- Published
Luke Summerfield and Stuart Beavon scored at Weston-super-Mare to send Wrexham into Monday's FA Cup second-round draw.
Summerfield's low effort beat Weston goalkeeper Luke Purnell in the 51st minute.
The hosts' hopes of upsetting the National League club evaporated when Beavon knocked in the rebound off his initial shot.
That ended the National League South side's dream of reaching round two.
Wrexham boss Sam Ricketts said: "We made hard work of it, but the important thing is we're through to the next round.
"We've been the side playing the higher-division team and you put in your best performance.
"They worked incredibly hard and moved the ball really well at times and it took a long time for us to break that down and break their spirit."
