Southampton midfielder Jake Hesketh and Middlesbrough striker Stephen Walker have signed for promotion-chasing League Two side MK Dons.

The pair have joined on loan until the end of the season.

Hesketh, 22, has made four appearances for Saints since his debut as a substitute against Manchester United in December 2014.

Walker made his Boro debut in August in the Carabao Cup and has been a regular for their under-18s and under-23s.

MK Dons manager Paul Tisdale said: "We are looking for some more energy and drive in our front line and Stephen will do that."

Hesketh spent the first half of the season at League One Burton Albion and scored the winners against Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough for the beaten Carabao Cup semi-finalists.

MK are sixth in League two, three points off an automatic promotion place.
